As of Friday, March 15th, Moose will have spent a month at the Sanctuary. I miss him more than I can even express... I cried when I got the update.

Hi Caelynn,

Moose has become comfortable, affectionate and very playful with me. Which is what I needed before I can start to help him get over his fears.

He's met a bunch of dogs so far and is doing great. His best friend so far is Tessie, a husky/shepherd something mix, they pretty much hang out together.

Thank you so much for the new donations.

Have a great week and email me as often as you like for updates.

Alan

So today I drove up to the sanctuary to drop Moose off. We played in the yard
for a while in the morning before the trip.

They had about three feet of snow at the sanctuary. Hunter ran off after a
turkey... You should have seen me running in snow deeper than my knees!
He will be there for at least a month, but it could be much, much longer. There
is really no way of him knowing until after Moose trusts him. He said to email
him for updates and photos.

The last picture is Hunter as we were pulling out. He wasn't thrilled to be
leaving his buddy or all the fun snow.

Here is an update I wrote the day I dropped Moose at the Sanctuary. I shared it with some people, but had not yet gotten around to posting it here!
We played for a bit at the sanctuary, the Alan brought Moose in the house. He
came back out to talk to me after. I gave him a Jolly Ball for Moose, because
they are his favorite toys. I also gave him a donation of $730 and some medical
supplies.

I cried the entire hour to my cousins house. I know this was a good decision,
and is totally worth it, but it sucks!

To date, with all of your help, we have donated medical supplies (bandages and gauze), food, toys, and $1150 to Spirit Animal Sanctuary. This is absolutely amazing. The support of family, friends, and fellow animal lovers has been absolutely amazing. I could never say enough to express my gratitude for your help, so please just know that you have helping so many wonderful animals.

We haven't gotten an update on Moose yet, although as he takes quite some time to fully adjust to new people and places, I am not surprised. In the mean time, I am sure that he is enjoying all of the snow and his new doggy friends.
